According to Sacnilk Early Estimates, ‘The Odyssey’ earned Rs 6.85 crore nett on Day 8 from 5,383 shows, registering an increase of 11.4 percent from Thursday’s Rs 6.15 crore nett collection. The increase is especially significant as it marks the start of the film’s second weekend run. The English version once again boosted the film’s business, bringing in approximately Rs 6 crore on Friday. Meanwhile, the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions collectively added around Rs 85 lakh, underscoring the dominance of the original English version, while maintaining a steady position in the dubbed markets.With Rs 90.30 crore nett collected in its first week, the film’s latest earnings have taken its total India collections to close to Rs 97.15 crore nett and Rs 115.92 crore gross.
‘The Odyssey’ to beat ‘Oppenheimer’ at the Indian box office
With the film, protagonist Matt Damon at the top, which has now officially crossed the Rs 115 crore gross mark in India, is coming close to surpassing the lifetime collections of Nolan’s own ‘Oppenheimer’, which remains one of the highest grossing Hollywood stars in the country. The Oscar-winning film concluded its Indian run with Rs 128.46 crore and at its current rate, ‘The Odyssey’ is expected to surpass this figure in its second weekend and become Nolan’s highest-grossing film in India.The film has already entered the list of top 15 highest grossing Hollywood films in India. If it surpasses ‘The Odyssey’, it will enter the list of the top 10 highest-grossing Hollywood releases in the country.

The Odyssey is enjoying equally impressive success worldwide. According to Box Office Mojo estimates, the film has grossed $342 million at the worldwide box office. North America remains the film’s biggest market, bringing in an estimated $199 million, while overseas territories have collectively added another $142 million.
