Chadwick Boseman started from humble beginnings and was born on November 29, 1976 in Anderson, South Carolina. He grew up in a large and close-knit family. His mother, Carolyn, was a nurse at the time, while his father, Leroy, worked in a textile factory and also ran his own upholstery business. He studied BFA at Howard University and later switched to acting after his time at the British American Dramatic Academy in Oxford.
