Famous Korean actor PO, whose real name is Pyo Ji-hoon, has been hospitalized according to recent reports. The actor was in Jeju at the time and was hit by an oncoming vehicle while walking on the road. The actor recently went viral for his role in his latest drama, ‘Teach You A Lesson’. Beyond his on-screen acting credits, he debuted as an idol in the popular K-pop group Block B.
PO in the hospital after a traffic accident
The actor was crossing a road in the Geumneung-ri area of Hallim-eup in Jeju City when a car hit him. The Chosun Daily reported that the accident took place on July 19, at around 9:56 p.m., and that the driver has not been publicly identified. Although his injuries were not life-threatening, he was still sent to the hospital for treatment and a check-up shortly after the accident. He suffered injuries to his elbow and knee and was reportedly in continuous body pain at the time of the accident.Jeju West Police Station also shared a statement on July 22, revealing that the driver was not under the influence at the time. Furthermore, the driver was not violating any traffic rules and was driving in accordance with the law. At the moment, the cause of the accident has not been revealed. The police are currently investigating the case.According to reports, the actor was in the middle of shooting for a variety show and an upcoming drama. PO is scheduled to continue with its ongoing schedule. He last appeared on the screen in ‘Teach You A Lesson’, and is also one of the regular members of the reality show ‘Amazing Saturday’.
