Actor and content creator Sahiba Bali has appealed to the media to move away from speculation about her personal life and focus on the Indian diaspora protest in London to support the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) movement in India. Sharing a photo from outside the Indian High Commission in London, Sahiba highlighted the rally held in solidarity with protesters demanding accountability and radical reforms to India’s education system following alleged irregularities in the NEET exam.

Sahiba’s message to the media

Taking to social media, Sahiba made it clear that discussions about her personal life should not obscure issues she believes deserve national attention. She wrote, “Dear media stop speculating my dating/friendship life in London it’s not national news. But dikhana hai toh yeh dekhao na (But if you want to show something, show it) (sic).”The image he shared showed members of the Indian diaspora gathering outside the Indian High Committee in London to express solidarity with protesters protesting across India.

Indian diaspora extends support

The protest in London echoed the demands raised by the CJP, with protesters calling for greater accountability and urgent reforms in the country’s education system.The movement in India has continued at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar since June 6, where protesters have demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET exams.Educationist and activist Sonam Wangchuk, who had led the agitation through an indefinite hunger strike, was later arrested and taken to Safdarjung Hospital.

Another content creator who attended the London rally also shared a video from the protest site, calling for more attention to the movement.The post read: “Today, we stand outside the Indian High Commission in London in solidarity with the nationwide protests calling for accountability and urgent reforms in India’s (sic) education system.”He further stated, “Students deserve better. The people of India and Indians living abroad are demanding transparent leadership and accountability from those in charge of the nation’s education. Those who fail to achieve meaningful reforms must be held accountable, and if they cannot meet their responsibilities, they should give way to capable leadership.” India deserves an equitable, accessible and future-focused education system for its students (sic).

Sahiba’s latest post comes shortly after she was at the center of dating rumors involving actor Arjun Kapoor.The speculation started after the two were spotted together at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London during the third ODI between India and England, leading to widespread chatter on social media.Addressing the rumours, Sahiba later shared a picture with Arjun on her Instagram stories and captioned it, ‘Don’t believe everything point 2’.The post followed an earlier Instagram story in which she had shared a screenshot of a social media post that mistakenly identified her as actor Anushka Sharma.In response to the confusion, he had written: “Don’t believe everything point 1”, making it clear that not everything that circulates online should be accepted as fact.
