The exam, which was originally scheduled to be held on July 26, 2026, was postponed due to what the commission described as “unavoidable reasons.”“Candidates who are planning to appear for the exam are advised to keep checking the BPSC website for the announcement of the updated exam schedule.
BPSC is issuing a stop notice
In an official notification, the Commission confirmed that the examination will not be conducted on the previously announced date.The notice reads:“The Integrated 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Examination, which was scheduled to be held on July 26, 2026, has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons. The new exam date will be announced soon by the Commission.”This notification has been issued by the Examination Controller of BPSC and has been uploaded on the official portal of the Commission.
The followers asked to wait for the revised schedule
The board has not yet announced the new date for the preliminary examination. Aspirants are advised to visit BPSC website regularly for exam date update, admit card release and other important instructions.The suspension means that the exam schedule that was announced earlier this month has been put on hold until a new schedule is released.

BPSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) is one of the main state exams of Bihar. The recruitment of 72 posts aims to fill 1,186 posts in various departments of Bihar government.The recruitment process is conducted in three stages – preliminary exam, mains exam and interview.
Entries must be filled through the enrollment vehicle
Successful candidates will be selected for a number of Group A and Group B positions, including:
- Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)
- Sub divisional judge (SDM)
- Director of Rural Development
- Revenue Officer
- Block Panchayat Raj Officer
- Other administrative duties in various government departments
