The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has introduced the One-Time Registration (OTR) system to make the application process easier for candidates appearing in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) and other recruitment tests. The new facility is available free of charge and aims to reduce the need to fill in the same items every time candidates take the state exam.Although the OTR system is new for the UPSSSC exam, the same registration process is already used in several government recruitment exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), State Public Service Commissions (State PSCs), and other government recruitment boards.
What is it UPSSSC OTR system ?
Under the new system, applicants need to register and provide their details only once. Once the OTR number is generated, the same will be used for future UPSSSC applications. To complete the registration, applicants must verify their mobile number and email address. They should also provide information such as their name, parents’ names, date of birth, class, address, and educational qualifications.Applicants must also attach a recent color photograph, taken within the last six months, along with their signature as it is written.
Information cannot be changed after registration
UPSSSC has advised the candidates to fill all the details carefully while registering. Once the OTR number is generated, the information submitted during registration cannot be changed or modified.
PET number to be valid for three years
The committee has also confirmed that the PET number will be valid for three years. If the student has more than one acceptable PET score during this period, he/she will be allowed to use the best score for future exams. The OTR scheme was first proposed by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath in 2023. It has now been launched along with the new UPSSSC website to make the recruitment process easy, transparent, and convenient for government job aspirants.
