The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) is expected to release the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 notification soon on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. It is very important that people get into various law programs for the academic year 2027-28. Aspirants of any NLU and other participating universities are encouraged to visit the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, for updates and application details.As in previous years, the CLAT 2027 Notification may be released by the end of July, while the online application process may begin in the month of August.

CLAT 2027 notification likely on July 20

Although no official announcement has been made by the Consortium regarding the process, from last year’s official process, it can be said that CLAT 2027 notification is expected to be released in the middle of July 2026. Registration began on August 1 last year, and the entrance test was held in December.Based on the same schedule for this year, it can be said that the applicants may have an application period from August to October 2026, after which the entrance exam will be conducted.All information about the process will be communicated by the Consortium in a timely manner.

Requirements for CLAT 2027

The eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate law courses are different from each other. To join UG law programs, a student must clear Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 45 percent. Students from SC, ST, and PwD categories must have at least 40 percent.For admission to PG law courses, candidates must have LL.B. degree is at least 50 percent. Candidates in the reserved category must secure at least 45 percent or its equivalent.
