Prince Harry has offered a touching insight into his parenting, revealing that he mirrors his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales’ caring approach when interacting with his own children. The Duke recalled how Diana would hug him and her brother, the Prince of Wales, “as tight as possible”, a gesture she now gives to her son and daughter after a difficult day.In a recent podcast, Harry shared the momentous moment just before his children Prince Archie (seven) and Princess Lilibet (five) visited their grandfather the King. It was their first reunion in four years, which made the occasion even more meaningful for the family. The Duke was warm and honest in his interview with Celebrity Traitors star and former England rugby striker Joe Marler about his parenting philosophy.
A parenting philosophy rooted in love
“The resilience of the kids is amazing and their way of looking at life is incredibly refreshing,” Harry told the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast. He went on to explain his daily practice. “And if it’s a tough day, one thing I’ll do is always squeeze my kids that extra, extra.” This easy but effective act reveals the strong influence of the way Diana has raised her children on Harry’s own parenting.
