After investing in a property in Ayodhya, Ranbir Kapoor has expanded its real estate portfolio by buying nearly 25 acres of land in Pune’s Mulshi taluka for Rs 16.42 crore, according to the property registry. The agreement, registered on April 30, 2026, includes four contiguous plots located in the village of Pimpri. The largest plot, measuring 43,800 square meters, was acquired for Rs 7.07 crore. Another plot of 29,900 square meters was bought for Rs 4.62 crore, while a plot of 21,400 square meters was bought for Rs 3.31 crore. The fourth and smallest plot, measuring 8,900 square metres, was acquired for Rs 1.39 crore, according to documents accessed by CRE Matrix.Collectively, the four plots cover 1,04,000 square meters, or approximately 25.7 hectares, taking the total transaction value to Rs 16.42 crore. Property registration documents show that the purchase attracted a stamp duty of Rs 82.13 lakh.This is not Kapoor’s only recent land purchase. In May 2026, The House of Abhinandan Lodha announced that the actor had acquired a plot of land in his project, ‘The Sarayu’, in a deal valued at around Rs 3.31 crore.The 2,134-square-foot plot is part of a 75-acre development located on the banks of the Sarayu River. According to the company, the project will have a clubhouse, over 35 lifestyle amenities and a five-acre all-vegetarian luxury hotel managed by The Leela.Ranbir Kapoor’s latest investment reflects a wider trend among Bollywood celebrities looking for real estate opportunities beyond Mumbai. Over the past few years, several actors and public figures have diversified their real estate portfolios by investing in agricultural and non-agricultural land, holiday homes and premium residential developments in destinations like Alibaug, Lonavala, Pune and Goa.Apart from Kapoor, celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have also invested in land and premium real estate projects across the country.
