Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said that the government wants to establish the state as a financial center of the world. To achieve this goal, environmental education in the state is being reviewed on the principles of ‘Renew, Rethink and Reinvest’. Under this vision, major reforms in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) have been implemented in all public universities and affiliated colleges. The Prime Minister was speaking at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, on Sunday. He established and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 7.58 crore. These included the foundation stone of a girls’ hostel to be built at a cost of Rs 6 crore, the inauguration of a Nursing Department building built at a cost of Rs 1.40 crore to promote medical services and medical education, and the inauguration of Khejarli Mahabalidan Smriti Shilp and Mata Amrita Devi Circle 8 built at a cost of Rs 1. He also announced that the Nursing Block will be named Chaudhary Bhajan Lal, the release said. The Prime Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the National Education Policy has been implemented across the country with a vision to make India a knowledge power in the world. He said that Guru Jambheshwar University has set a good example in the successful implementation of NEP and has been honored by the Haryana Government with the NEP Implementation Excellence Award 2025 (Gold Category). He explained that it is a matter of pride and honor. He said that young people have great expectations from institutions like this university. These institutions should be centers of research and innovation, acting as a bridge between local industries and international technologies. That is where the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047 is being considered by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi should be done. He also urged the people to take forward the Prime Minister’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, saying that the path shown by Mata Amrita Devi and Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj would help fulfill the dream of our forefathers about protecting the environment. The Prime Minister said that according to the teachings of Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj, the State Government believes that the purpose of higher education is not only to give degrees, but to build people with good morals, awareness and awareness – who have technical skills while remaining grounded in their culture and committed to preserving the environment. Referring to Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj and the Bishnoi community, the Chief Minister said that nature is an integral part of Indian culture, a philosophy that Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj exemplified through his life and teachings. In line with these principles, the two-engine government is taking Haryana to a new level of development while maintaining harmony with the environment. He said that the foundation of Indian civilization has always been a close relationship with nature. In this great tradition, Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj started the environmental movement in the 15th century in a desert region, a vision that was centuries before his existence. At a time when the world saw nature as a support, Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj said that it is the foundation of life, the most important part of dharma and the highest means of helping humanity. Saini said that the 29 principles given by Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj are not limited to instructing the religious community but valuable principles related to human life, environment, human harmony, biodiversity, compassion for animals, water conservation, cleanliness, self-control and morality. These principles are as valid today as they were 500 years ago.
