Akhil Akkineni’s latest release”Lenin‘ continues to be a special film as it is receiving a positive response from the audience after its disappointing theatrical release with the 2023 film ‘Agent’. Recently his father and Tollywood veteran Nagarjuna to Akkineni recently spoke about a difficult stage in his son’s life.
Nagarjuna shares an emotional family story
According to a Cinema Express report, during the film’s success meet, Nagarjuna revealed that a serious accident about a year and a half ago changed Akhil’s life and helped him become a calmer and more mature person. He said he doesn’t usually talk about personal matters, but felt it was the right time to share this story.

Nagarjuna said, “Around a year and a half ago, Akhil met with a freak accident. A piece of glass severed the nerve in his hand and he lost sensation. It was a terrible phase for all of us at home. Amala and I couldn’t even tell anyone what had happened. It took him almost six months of physiotherapy and treatment to recover.” He said the difficult experience brought about a big change in Akhil. “After that incident, something changed in him. He calmed down and began to think differently. He also found a life partner, and this brought more stability to his life. I don’t usually talk about personal matters, but I felt this was the right time to share this with all of you.”
Nagarjuna believed Akhil’s good time was coming
Nagarjuna said he encouraged Akhil before signing ‘Lenin’. He recalled, “I told him that his good time was about to begin. I asked him to do this film with full determination. Achieving the goal not only requires energy; it also needs a correct thought process. Life is like a game, and he finally achieved what he was looking for. I am very happy for him.” He added: “I wish he would continue with that mentality and not make any more impulsive decisions. He has a fantastic future ahead of him.” Nagarjuna also said that Akhil had always worked hard for every film and never lacked commitment.

Talking about ‘Lein’, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film is a village-based romantic action drama featuring Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead.
